You might be surprised how quickly this gets your kids, or guest out of bed in the morning. It makes the whole house smell delicious! Plus, it's easier to make then it might look and quick. Both qualities I can appreciate in my personal life given that I run my own business full-time and have three boys.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk or cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 slices cinnamon-raisin bread
nonstick cooking spray
Syrup
Fresh berries (any combo you like!)
Prep:
In a pie plate, whisk together the eggs milk, vanilla extract and cinnamon.
Spread the cream cheese on 4 of the bread slices, then top with the remaining 4 bread slices. Press around the edges to seal.
Heat griddle to medium, then spray with nonstick cooking spray. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, turning it gently to coat both sides.
Bake:
Place sandwiches on griddle, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until
the sandwiches are golden brown.
To serve, cut each sandwich in half, then drizzle with warm maple syrup and garnish with fresh berries.
